I graduated from Jagiellonian University with master’s degrees in chemistry and physics, and completed a doctoral program under the supervision of Professor Andrzej M. Oleś. After receiving my PhD in 2006, I conducted research as a postdoc/visitor in Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden (Germany), the University of Bristol (UK) and Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (Japan). Currently I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at National Taiwan University in Taipei.
My research interests include new phases in frustrated quantum systems (spin ice), quantum variational Monte Carlo simulations using tensor product states, and charge, spin and orbital ordering in transition metal oxides.
