My name is Henryk Arodź. I am Professor Emeritus in the Department of Field Theory which belongs to the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. My research interests include theory of classical and quantum fields as well as quantum mechanics, with a grain of mathematical physics. The Web of Science data base lists 80 papers (co)authored by me. For an overview of my research work, click 'research' below. For information on other professional activities click 'cv'.
Teaching was a very important part of my work at the University. I enjoyed delivering lectures and composing exercises, devoted considerable amount of time to them. I wrote several books collecting certain parts of my didactic deeds. To see the titles (and more) click 'books'.
My most recent publications, with digressions on motivation, content, etc., that can not be found in the published texts, are presented in the section 'Recent publications' in chronological order.
The two buttons: 'miscellanea' and the one with picture (at bottom-right) lead to short stories on topics related to physics and academia. The picture shows a device which inspired me to carry long-lasting research work on certain special field-theoretic models. In 'miscellanea' there is a link to pdf from my conference talk on certain topic from history of theoretical physics in Cracow.
