oles andrzej mFull professor of physics in Institute of Physics, Jagellonian University in Cracow.
Received the title of master of science in physics in 1973 and a Ph.D. in 1977. In 1984 he got the degree of Dr. Sc. (Habilitation) in  theoretical physics. Since 1994 he has the title of professor of physics given by the President of Poland. Internationally recognized expert in electron correlations and in quantum theory of magnetism. Since 1980 collaborates with the quantum many body theory division in Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research is Stuttgart where he is a guest scientist. He is an author of over 350 scientific papers cited more than 4900 times (Hirsch index h=35) and several topical chapters in monographs.
