Type Ia thermonuclear supernovae neutrino detection

Work with T. Plewa (FSU)

Our recent (02.06.2010) paper, Probing thermonuclear supernova explosions with neutrinos: Arxiv preprint 1006.0490

Meridional cross-sections of 2D thermonuclear supernova models. Delayed detonation model Y12 is shown on the left, pure deflagration model n7d1r15t15c on the right. Colors show neutrino emissivity (negative Radius) and antineutrino emissivity (positive Radius).

You might want also to watch the realtime animations ( Y12 , n7d1r10t15c ) or dowload all hi-res frames: y12.tar.7z , n7.tar.7z . All frames can be viewed one-by-one here.

Time-dependent neutrino spectra from 0 to 20 MeV with step 0.1 MeV

Spectrum is available in text format. Rows denote time after ignition (first column, in seconds) , columns show (except first) spectrum points in 1/s/MeV. First column is time, second column spectral emissivity for 0.0 MeV, third column for 0.1 MeV etc.

Spectra for Y12 delayed detonation model:
  1. Electron neutrino spectrum [DAT]
  2. Electron anti-neutrino spectrum [DAT]
  3. Muon and tau flavour combined spectrum [DAT]
Spectra for n7d1r10t15c pure deflagration model:
  1. Electron neutrino spectrum [DAT]
  2. Electron anti-neutrino spectrum [DAT]
  3. Muon and tau flavour combined spectrum [DAT]

Geoneutrino spectrum data is from Sanhiro Enomoto PhD, https://www.awa.tohoku.ac.jp/~sanshiro/research/geoneutrino/spectrum/index.html. Solar pp and B8 neutrino spectra are from J. Bahcall homepage, https://www.sns.ias.edu/~jnb/SNdata/sndata.html .

Explanation of the files/tables

Spectra are split into separate files. Filenames are: model_flavour_number.dat Number refer to subsequent dumps of the explosion model. Time step is 0.05 seconds, i.e. file numbered n shows spectra for time n*0.05 seconds after ignition.

Every single file contains four columns, e.g:
Neutrino energy Spectral fluence from:
nucleons nuclei thermal processes
[MeV] [1/MeV/s] [1/MeV/s] [1/MeV/s]
1.000000e-01 2.167117e+48 1.508237e+49 1.589233e+44
1.068471e-01 2.500176e+48 1.733302e+49 3.119337e+44

1.219800e-01 3.334356e+48 2.292200e+49 6.501022e+44

Neutrino energy is logarithmically spaced, from 0.1 MeV to 20 MeV. TAB ("\t") has been used to separate columns.
