    Nonabelian holonomies, loop spaces and integrability

    Abstract:
    Motivated by the generalization of zero curvature integrability methods,
    we elaborate flatness conditions for non-abelian connections in loop
    spaces, which are introduced as principal bundles. Requirements of
    reparametrization invariance lead to "no go" theorems for local formulations
    and the abelianization of their holonomy group. Nevertheless, some useful
    consistent sufficient conditions are possible, as explained in detail.
