Quantum field theory in deformed spacetime

    Abstract:
In order to improve perturbative local quantum field theory, it has been
suggested to formulate models on deformed (or quantized space-time), thereby
incorporating gravity effects. The resulting models show not only the old
divergences, but in addition suffer from IR/UV mixing. In collaboration with
Raimar Wulkenhaar we found a way to handle this problem: We identified all
relevant/marginal operators and found a new model which is renormalizable
and has vanishing beta-function which indicates a new fixed point. We discuss
various properties like the curing of the Landau problem. A nontrivial Borel
summable model results. Among the properties the models fulfill, we shall
    discuss wedge locality.
